  • Interviewed nine Appalachian storytellers to analyze how they craft traditional stories into commercially-viable products for the modern world
  • Analyzed dozens of hours of individual interviews and group discussions to determine how traditional arts carry social, psychological, cultural and fiscal value in 21st-century America

Published co-authored article in academic journal Appalachian Journal, delivered MA capstone thesis project and presented paper at the Appalachian Studies Association 2010 annual meeting.
